Our artisan, born and raised in a small fishing village near Portofino, has spent her entire life walking the rocky beaches of Liguria. As a child, she would collect these frosted gems with her grandmother, who told her they were "mermaid tears"—each one a wish granted by the sea.

Years later, after studying jewelry design in Milano, she returned to those same beaches. But this time, she saw not just beautiful stones, but a way to preserve the soul of the Ligurian coast—to transform centuries-old fragments into wearable art that carries the whisper of waves and the weight of history.

Every morning, she walks the shore after storms, searching for pieces worthy of her craft. She touches each fragment, feeling its story, before deciding if it will become part of a creation. Some pieces wait years before finding their perfect design.
